Leslie Clark

LPC, CSAC, CIR

I have a solid foundation in mental health and substance abuse counseling having worked with both adolescents and adults for the past thirteen years. I enjoy working with college students and believe that being a student in today’s world can be challenging with the pressures of academics, peers, and self-discovery. I appreciate working with adults to gain high self-confidence and self-esteem. It is very powerful for me to watch as clients gain inner strength for themselves in their lives. I specialize in DBT, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, communication skills, stress management, and addictions. I am accepting new clients!

I am dually licensed which can be a benefit in working with any type of client dealing with a variety of issues. I consider it important in today’s society due to the struggles with dual diagnosis. My specialty in DBT benefits clients to find a balance with emotions and logic. I like to meet clients where they are at providing a gentle and direct approach.

I believe it is brave to start one’s therapeutic process. I appreciate connecting with someone on a very personal level. I find it very important to build a strong therapeutic relationship for the person to feel heard and to gain trust. It is a goal of mine to guide clients to meet therapeutic goals. I will challenge clients to reach their fullest potential.
